Hi, that section refers to continuously compounded growth (as happens with e^x). Here,

e^(.50 * 2) = e^(1.00 * 1) = 2.71828…

For non-continuous growth, (1 + .50)^2 != (1 + 1.00)^1

Is there any order in which I should read your articles?

Therefore, the exponent is a unit curve, in which addition and exponentiation are equal. It’s the most important. 1 + 1 → 1 + x / x → (1+ 1 / x) ^ x
