For the first time ever I could see “trigonometry”.
It was until I went beyond 90 degrees that things started to get confusing a bit for tangent and possibly cotangent as well.

Why does the wall’s % height become negative for angles >90 and 180 and <270?

Is it because tangent is a ratio of sine and cosine, but still the wall stands upright for 90-180 degrees?

One more thing, there is a missing 1 in the last line of "TANGENT/SECANT : THE WALL" section. It should be 119% in the line "Your screen is 19% larger than the distance to the wall"

“First, we need to normalize everything in terms of percentages. We have 2 / .25 = 8 “hypotenuse units” worth of fuel. So, the largest secant we could allow is 8 times the distance to the wall.”

Does anyone have any insight on why we are normalizing? I figured since the boat is .25 miles away from shore then the hypotenuse would be 2 miles, then the missing side (by Pythagoras) will be sqroot(3.9375 miles).
