1 billion milligrams would be 2,204 pounds.
1 million milligrams would be 2.2 pounds.

Or you could compare billion vs million by distance.
1 billion centimeters would be 6213.7 miles.
1 million centimeters would be 6.2 miles.

Billion vs million by Area:
A billion square inches would be 159.42 acres.
A million square inches would be roughly .16 acres

By ratio: 1 to 1000 is the ratio for 1 million verses 1 billion.
Or another way to look at it would be 1 cent for every $10.00.
Or one million = .1% of one billion (billion = 100%)
