Otherwise , we are simply putting the value of x in the given function . And this ( putting the value of x in a given function ) is taught in 7th and 8th standard also .
Now my question :

Why do we need Limit even for the functions like f(x) = x^2 where there is no peril of zero denominator. For such functions can’t we safely put x= something instead of x -> something ?

Please guide.
